Chad Tolar

Joining Garcia & Karam in 2009, Chad Tolar credits his experience as a defense lawyer with making him a better plaintiff lawyer. He understands the tactics utilized by defense counsel and how to anticipate and, more importantly, counter those tactics.
His first eight years practicing law was as a civil defense attorney specializing in the defense of wrongful death, products liability and personal injury cases. With Garcia & Karam, he prosecutes wrongful death, product liability and personal injury cases on behalf of plaintiffs.
Mr. Tolar graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.A. in Business Marketing and received his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. He is
- Licensed by the Texas Supreme Court
- Admitted to the Texas State Bar
- Admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas
- Is a member of the Hidalgo County Bar Association
- Served for several years as Secretary of the Hidalgo County Young Lawyer’s Association.
- Licensed as a real estate broker by the Texas Real Estate Commission and represents both buyers and sellers in residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Born in Baton Rouge, LA, Mr. Tolar’s family moved to McAllen, TX when he was ten years old. His family lives there still.
